WHAT WE DO

Southeastern Ohio Legal Services® (SEOLS) gives free legal help to people with low incomes and limited savings. We help with issues related to health benefits, housing, school, employment, utilities, family law problems, consumer problems, public benefits like SNAP and Medicare issues and other noncriminal legal matters.

SEOLS also assists partner organizations and groups of low-income people in finding solutions to community problems.

WHO WE ARE

SEOLS is a nonprofit organization that provides civil legal services through six regional offices, which serve 30 counties. In addition to helping low-income Ohioans with legal matters, our staff serve in leadership roles for community groups, boards and task forces working at the state and local level to improve the lives of low-income residents. We work hard to keep our justice system fair.

HOW WE HELP

SEOLS provides a variety of services to help people deal with legal issues.

SEOLS Resource Center: An online toolbox that provides do-it-yourself guides, letter templates and other supports to help people address legal issues. This includes information about how to prepare for court, what to do when dealing with government agencies and easy-to-complete legal forms.

Brief Advice Clinics: Free drop-in clinics where attorneys are available to answer questions about legal matters.

Right Place Referrals: Contact information for a partner agency with specialized services.

Direct Service: Representation in civil legal matters.
