  • Eviction
  • Grievance/Informal meeting (if you have rent-subsidized housing)
  • Lockouts by landlord without court order
  • Utility shutoff by landlord without court order
  • Retaliation by landlord
  • Concerns related to domestic violence
  • Discrimination based on protected classes (race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability)
  • Lead poisoning issues
  • Mobile home tenant and owner issues
  • Foreclosures (Visit the Consumer Problems Tab in Resource Center)
  • Land contract issues
  • Eviction record sealings
  • Security Deposits (Go to SEOLS Resource Center)
  • Conditions/Rent Escrow issues
  • Small Claims lawsuit by landlord

SEOLS may be able to represent you if:


  • You receive a subsidy or voucher and received a notice to leave
  • If you have been locked out of your home or your utilities have been shut off
  • If you received court papers
