VETERANS

SEOLS helps veterans and their families with legal problems in a variety of ways, such as legal information, advice, or representation. SEOLS’s Veterans Team helps veterans with the following issues:

  • Applications to upgrade or correct a DD-214
  • Appealing an overpayment
  • Appealing compensation denials or terminations by the Board of Veterans Appeals

SEOLS provides veterans with assistance and guidance to navigate our complex legal system through a variety of platforms.

People can often handle common veterans’ issues with legal information. Visit the Resource Center to find your local County Veterans Service Office (CVSO) and for information on VA overpayments, discharge upgrades, and our report on the disparities in grant rates for discharge upgrade applications based on racial trauma.

SEOLS may be able to represent you if:

  • You received a denial of benefits from the VA’s Board of Veterans’ Appeals
  • You received a letter from the VA saying you owe them money
  • You have a discharge status that is preventing you from receiving VA benefits

If you would like to speak to an attorney about representation, please apply online or call 844-302-1800
